You're all invited to our launch!

We're very excited about our launch debate at the Wells Food Festival on Sunday October 9. Entitled The Sustainable Food Debate: Why now? Where next? it will discuss the links between food, farming and health. We've got three great speakers:

  • Tom Andrews, Director of Sustainable Food Cities, on how taking a more joined-up approach to our food systems can transform our communities and our local economy
  • Dr Campbell Murdoch, Wells GP and Clinical Lead for Your Health & Wellbeing Mendip GP Collaborative, on the critical role of food and diet in our health and wellbeing
  • Colin Tudge, Co-founder, Campaign for Real Farming, on the link between the way we produce our food, the health of our soils and human health

Come and join us for what promises to be a lively and passionate debate that will help us shape the future of the Wells Food Network! It will be held in Wells Town Hall on Sunday October 11, opening at 10.45am, for an 11am start, and will last an hour. The event is free but please sign up on our Eventbrite page so we have an idea of numbers.
