Wells Food Network

Picture

Our history

The idea of bringing Wells and its environs into the Sustainable Food City network was sown during the 2015 Wells Food Festival, following a debate entitled Eat the Landscape organised by Sustainable Wells.

It was given unanimous support by a wide range of stakeholders who met in February 2016 to discuss the issue.
As a result, Wells Food Network was  founded as an unincorporated charitable foundation. We are managed by a Board of Trustees and advised by a Steering Group made up of 15 people drawn from a wide range of experience and backgrounds.

Our governance

Wells Food Network is managed by a board of trustees and assisted by a Steering Group
which meets regularly and is made up of 15 people from a wide range of experience and
backgrounds. These range from community and voluntary organisations to businesses
and the public sector. We also benefit from the experience of our Advisory Group.
